Job description

The ROC (Retail Operations Center) Equipment Operations Lead oversees all equipment-related functions within the Regional Operations Center - including equipment quality, inventory management, parts coordination, and machine deployment readiness.
This position serves as the on-site leader responsible for coordinating resources, ensuring accurate processes, and driving continuous improvement across all ROC equipment operations. The ROC Lead partners closely with corporate Logistics, Engineering, and VendTech Technology teams to maintain standards of excellence in equipment preparation, documentation, and delivery.
The ROC Lead will play a key role in expanding the ROC's capability to a fully operational assembly environment, ensuring all equipment meets VendTech's quality, performance, and deployment standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead daily ROC equipment operations ensuring quality, inventory, and parts activities are completed efficiently and accurately.
  • Supervise and develop ROC staff including: Equipment Quality & Deployment Coordinator, Equipment Deployment Coordinator, Parts Clerk, and Equipment Readiness Technician (if assigned).
  • Oversee inbound and outbound equipment flow, including receiving, staging, quality checks, payment system installation coordination, packaging, and deployment scheduling.
  • Maintain accurate records for all finished goods, in-process machines, and spare parts in ZOHO or assigned ERP system.
  • Manage complete machine inventory including operator-assigned machines under Naturals2Go Holdings LLC and distribution-allocated machines designated for external partners.
  • Ensure all equipment meets VendTech Quality Management Program (QMP) standards prior to shipment.
  • Collaborate with corporate Logistics to manage machine allocation, transport, and operator deployment schedules.
  • Coordinate ROC-level reporting and performance metrics; submit weekly dashboards to the Director of ROC Operations.
  • Facilitate training and knowledge sharing between ROC and corporate resources.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for workflow efficiency, safety, and equipment accuracy.
  • Promote VendTech's core values of safety, quality, and accountability in all ROC activities.

Deliverables & Performance Metrics
  • Inventory Management: Accurate and current machine and parts inventory, including operator-assigned and distribution-allocated units (100% reconciliation weekly).
  • Readiness Compliance: On-time deployment of all machines with zero quality or configuration defects.
  • Operational Assembly: Establish a fully functional ROC assembly process meeting VendTech's quality and performance metrics for deployment readiness.
  • Quality Performance: Zero deployment rework due to incomplete QC or testing.
  • Reporting: Timely submission of weekly KPI dashboards and continuous improvement updates.
  • Continuous Improvement: Minimum one improvement initiative submitted per quarter.
  • Team Development: Cross-training documentation and demonstrated proficiency across quality, inventory, and parts functions.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in equipment operations, warehousing, or logistics.
  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP or inventory systems (ZOHO, NetSuite, or similar).
  • Technical knowledge of vending, refrigeration, or unattended retail equipment preferred.
  • Forklift experience required; certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and safely operate material handling equipment.
