Job description

Job Summary: Equal Vision Records is looking for an organized, music-obsessed Record Label Assistant to join our team in-person. This entry-level role touches nearly every aspect of running an independent record label-from street team management and marketing to office administration and fulfillment. If you are eager to learn the music industry from the ground up, this is a multi-faceted position with room to grow into larger responsibilities as you develop.
Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A
Duties/ Responsibilities:
  • Street Team Management: Lead, organize, and grow the EVR street team to drive fan engagement and promotional campaigns for label releases.
  • Marketing & Communications: Assist with entry-level digital marketing initiatives, including creating and scheduling email campaigns using Mailchimp.
  • Administration & Operations: Handle day-to-day administrative tasks, basic accounting support (data entry, invoicing), and general office organization.
  • Fulfillment & Inventory: Assist with physical inventory management, organizing stock, and processing shipments.
  • Other responsibilities as required or needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong interest in independent music and the record label ecosystem.
  • Proficiency with standard office software (Gmail/Google Workspace, Microsoft Word, and Excel).
  • Familiarity with or quick ability to learn email marketing platforms like Mailchimp.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a self-starter mindset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
Associates college degree preferred
Environment: Office
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
Starting pay is $18.00/hr plus the benefits listed below. Pay may increase based on prior experience.
