Job description

Kenai Peninsula College invites applications for a College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) Director. This position provides strategic leadership for a federally funded program that supports eligible students from migrant and seasonal farmworker backgrounds.
The CAMP Director leads the planning, implementation, and evaluation of KPC's College Assistance Migrant Program. Reporting responsibilities include monitoring program goals and outcomes, maintaining accurate records, preparing required reports for the U.S. Department of Education, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations and grant guidelines.
This position supervises two CAMP staff members and works closely with KPC Administrative Services, KPC Advancement, university partners, and community organizations to support program operations, outreach, recruitment, and services for CAMP participants.
The successful candidate will be an organized, collaborative, and student-centered leader with experience managing programs that serve low-income, first-generation, migratory, and/or underrepresented students. They should be comfortable interpreting regulations, managing budgets, supervising staff, using data to guide improvement, and communicating clearly with a variety of stakeholders.
This role is well suited for someone who can build effective campus and community partnerships, balance compliance requirements with student support, and represent Kenai Peninsula College in local, state, and national settings related to migrant education.
Minimum Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Education, Business Administration, or related field. Three years of experience in program management and providing services to low-income, first-generation, migratory, and/or underrepresented students.
Three years of experience in budgeting, staff supervision, and/or evaluation.
Strong written communication skills as evidenced by application materials.
An unrestricted Alaska driver's license and clean driving record in compliance with UA Safe Driving criteria is required.
Position Details:
This position is located on the Kenai Peninsula College campus in Soldotna, AK. This is a term-funded, full-time, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package . UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule , Grade 81, starting at $33.09 based on education and experience.
