Job description

Shape the future of early literacy. Lead a passionate team. Grow a thriving community!

Wise Wonder Enrichment is a premier early literacy center with a mission to bring the love of reading back to the forefront of education in NYC. At our Tribeca location, we are seeking an energetic, confident, and inspiring Program Director who thrives on leading people, building relationships, and driving growth.

Why This Role Matters

Our Literacy Studio is more than just a classroom — it’s a place where children (ages 6 months–10 years) discover the magic of reading through our in-house curriculum. As Program Director, you’ll play a pivotal role: ensuring our families feel at home, our team is motivated, and our enrollment grows steadily through strong parent relationships and community presence.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead with impact: Manage, coach, and inspire a team of teachers to deliver our custom literacy curriculum with excellence.
  • Drive enrollment & growth: Take ownership of parent outreach, registration, and sales conversations to ensure classes are full and families are excited to join.
  • Deliver an exceptional experience: Build lasting relationships with families, maintain a warm and inviting studio, and set the tone for outstanding customer service.
  • Oversee daily operations: Manage front desk operations, curriculum organization, scheduling, and ensure the center runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the other 5 Studios on a consistent basis

Who You Are

  • A natural people leader with at least 2+ years of managerial experience in education or a child-focused setting.
  • Ideally, you also bring 2+ years of teaching experience and a degree in teaching or education.
  • Confident in sales and parent communication — you can connect quickly, build trust, and close enrollments.
  • A strong communicator with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Tech-savvy with tools like Google Suite, Slack, and ideally Sawyer Tools.
  • Motivated, self-starting, and ready to thrive in a high-energy, fast-paced setting.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary: $65,000
  • Health, dental, and 401 (k) eligibility
  • Excellent PTO program
  • On-the-job training and professional development
  • Real career growth opportunities within a mission-driven, expanding organization

Location

Tribeca, Manhattan

If you’re ready to combine your leadership skills, teaching background, sales ability, and passion for education in a role where you’ll truly make a difference, we’d love to meet you!
