Project Manager – Manufacturing / Supply Chain (Remote with Travel)

Remote (U.S.)
Required Travel: ~25% across East Coast
Travel Expenses: Fully reimbursed

Duration

12-month contract (January start)
Potential extension or conversion to permanent based on performance


Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage site-based operational projects across manufacturing and supply chain environments. This role will focus on schedule-driven execution, cross-functional coordination, and on-site engagement at Eaton facilities. The ideal candidate has strong project scheduling expertise using Microsoft Project, excellent communication skills, and hands-on experience supporting manufacturing or shop-floor initiatives.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end project management for site-based manufacturing and supply chain initiatives

  • Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including operations, supply chain, engineering, and site leadership

  • Track milestones, dependencies, risks, and issues; proactively drive mitigation plans

  • Prepare and deliver executive-ready status reports and presentations using PowerPoint and Excel

  • Support on-site execution through regular travel to Eaton facilities

  • Ensure alignment between project plans, business objectives, and operational readiness

  • Provide clear communication and leadership throughout the project lifecycle


Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 6+ years of Project Management experience

  • Mandatory:

    • Microsoft Project (advanced scheduling)

    • Microsoft Excel (tracking, reporting)

  • Strong experience managing schedules in complex, multi-site environments

  • Experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Shop Floor, or Industrial projects

  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and reporting skills

  • Ability to work remotely while supporting on-site execution through travel


Preferred Skills
  • Experience in Electrical, Manufacturing, or Automotive industries

  • Exposure to SAP or other ERP systems

  • PMP or other project management certification

  • Experience supporting large enterprise or matrixed organizations
