Job description

Position Summary: Title: Business Analyst Standard II Program Support
Duration: 6 Months Long Term
Location: Washington, DC 20433

Hybrid Onsite: 4 days per week from Day 1, with a full transition to 100% onsite anticipated soon.

Scope of Work:

The Program Support / Project Support resource will work under the guidance of the E&S Program Management Office and support the following areas:

Program & Delivery Support

  • Support coordination of activities, milestones, and dependencies across E&S workstreams
  • Assist in maintaining delivery plans, sprint plans, milestone trackers, and dependency logs
  • Track followups, risks, and blockers and escalate coordination issues as needed
  • Support with program and project budget, resourcing and help in aligning the delivery PODS

Governance, Documentation & Leadership Readouts

  • Prepare clear, concise documentation and presentations for senior leadership forums, steering committees, and governance bodies
  • Support development of:
  • Executivelevel progress summaries
  • Decision notes and issue briefs
  • Milestone readiness and dependency summaries
  • Ensure all materials are consistent, wellstructured, and leadershipready

Reporting & Delivery Transparency

  • Support daily, weekly, and milestonebased reporting aligned with program needs
  • Maintain action logs, RAID logs, and delivery dashboards
  • Ensure timely visibility into progress, risks, dependencies, and upcoming decisions

Agile / SAFe Practice Support

  • Support program execution using Agile and SAFealigned practices
  • Assist with:
  • Sprint coordination and planning support
  • Backlog hygiene and status tracking
  • Documentation of sprint outcomes, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Help ensure alignment between Agile delivery activities and governance expectations

Stakeholder & Communication Support

  • Support coordination across business, IT, and vendor teams
  • Prepare meeting agendas, capture notes, track actions, and follow through on outcomes
  • Help ensure shared understanding of timelines, expectations, and dependencies

Deliverables

Typical deliverables may include:

  • Program trackers, action logs, RAID logs, and dependency trackers
  • Weekly and milestonebased status reports
  • Leadershipready presentations and briefing materials
  • Sprint summaries and Agile delivery artifacts
  • Wellorganized and auditable documentation repositories

Reporting and Oversight: The selected candidate will report to the E&S Program management Office and work closely with the core delivery team.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience supporting complex digital or IT programs in a structured environment
  • Strong documentation, reporting, and presentation skills for senior leadership audiences
  • Experience working in Agile or SAFealigned delivery environments
  • Strong coordination, followup, and stakeholder engagement skills
