Job description

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Menu Manager to lead the development, execution and evolution of all menu materials across our portfolio. This role sits at the intersection of culinary, operations, marketing and design, serving as the central point of coordination and the final step for accuracy, clarity and presentation. The Menu Manager will oversee dozens of active menus across multiple restaurants, while supporting new openings currently in development. From gathering and refining content to routing with creativity, proofing with precision and executing final production, this role requires an exceptional eye, strong organizational discipline, and a deep respect for the details that others might overlook. This position reports to the Marketing & Brand Director and works closely with senior leadership, culinary, operations, and the creative team.

Why Author & Edit

  • Benefits available when you work 25 hours per week-including medical, dental, vision, and more

  • Paid time off

  • Retirement savings program (with company match)

  • Exclusive hotel and dining discounts across our brand

  • Access to on-site amenities in our Phoenix office, including gym and pickleball courts

  • Join a company known for exceptional service and standout guest experiences

  • Be part of a passionate team shaping the future of hospitality in Phoenix

  • Grow your career with a dynamic, expanding brand

Who We Are

At Author & Edit, we create original hospitality experiences designed to be remembered and talked about. Our approach is rooted in constant evolution, always refining and reimagining what hospitality can be. We don’t follow industry standards; we set them.

Founded by visionary restaurateur Sam Fox, Author & Edit is built on the idea that great hospitality is something you write, not replicate. From standout concepts like The Global Ambassador and The Twelve Thirty Club to a growing portfolio of hotels and restaurants, we’re shaping experiences that push the industry forward.

With multiple new projects currently under construction and an expanding presence, this is a unique opportunity to be part of a company in active growth. You’ll work closely with leadership, collaborate with a passionate team, and play a role in building what’s next in hospitality. If you're looking to grow your career while contributing to something innovative, dynamic, and continually evolving—this is where it happens.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the full lifecycle of menu development, from initial content gathering through final production and in-market execution

  • Manage and maintain a comprehensive menu calendar, ensuring all updates, seasonal changes and new launches are executed on time

  • Partner closely with culinary and operations teams to ensure all menu content is accurate, aligned and reflective of the intended guest experience

  • Partner with the creative team to translate content into elevated and on-brand menu designs

  • Lead all proofing and editing across menus with an exceptional eye for spelling, grammar, formatting and consistency

  • Route menus for review and approval across leadership, ensuring alignment at every stage

  • Coordinate all menu printing and production, working with external print partners and managing in-house printing when applicable

  • Oversee digital menu updates across all brand websites and third-party platforms, ensuring accuracy on go-live dates

  • Maintain organized archives of all menu versions for operational, financial and historical reference

  • Establish and uphold menu standards across all restaurants, ensuring consistency at scale

  • Navigate shifting timelines with agility while maintaining a high level of accuracy and composure

Qualifications

  • An exceptional attention to detail, someone who notices what others miss

  • A strong command of grammar, spelling and written communication

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines and stakeholders simultaneously

  • A structured thinker who can build timelines, manage processes and keep complex projects moving forward

  • Comfortable operating across all levels of the organization, from working alongside senior leadership to supporting hands-on execution when needed

  • A collaborative team player who is equally comfortable leading and supporting

  • Ability to remain flexible and solutions-oriented in a fast-paced, evolving environment

  • A genuine interest in food, beverage and hospitality, with an understanding of how menus shape the guest experience

  • Experience in menu management, project management or a related role

  • This role requires a deep respect for the work at every level. Some days you’ll be collaborating on strategy and creative direction, and others you’ll be deep in the details—reviewing edits line by line or ensuring menus are printed and delivered flawlessly. Both are equally important here
