Job description

Masconomet Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking an enthusiastic individual who strives for customer satisfaction to join our team in the role of Menu Specialist/Concierge!


POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for attending to the dietary needs and menu preferences of patients/residents in accordance with established regulations as well as company policies and procedures.

POSITION OVERVIEW

·         Serves as liaison between nursing and kitchen

·         Observes infection control procedures related to Culinary and Nutritional Services Department

·         Reviews new admissions and meets with them promptly to review meal preferences while aligning preferences with dietary requirements

·         Interviews residents/patients on an ongoing basis to determine specific needs and preferences

·         Processes diet slips and changes for electronic medical record and MealTracker

·         Processes Production Sheets by Group indicating any special requests or diet changes

·         Assists diet aides as needed

·         Receives last minute requests or diet changes from nursing units and submits to kitchen for processing

·         Serve Safe Certification strongly preferred

·         Minimum one-year experience in a concierge-type setting (e.g., hostess, administrative, dietary).

·         Ability to read, write and comprehend English; ability to follow oral and written instructions.

·         Strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills.

·         Highly focused on customer satisfaction with the ability to diffuse tense situations.

·         Ability to work hours punctually and at times flexibly, as needed based on the requirements of the position assignment and/or needs of the organization as expressed by Administrator and/or Food Service Director

·         Weekend availability may be required.

·         Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility strongly preferred
