Job description

The ideal candidate is a seasoned Executive Chef with a strong culinary background. We are a multi-concept restaurant company opening up a new full-service concept in the Tucson foothills. We will look to our Executive Chef to work with our preliminary menu ideas and recipes and develop a creative and special menu that will hopefully be the "talk of the town". Not high price fine dining, but more of a reasonably-priced modern neighborhood American eatery. We want our customers to visit us weekly, not once every few months. Once the new restaurant is going strong, we also see potential for our Executive Chef to have expanded responsibilities to include helping with our other concepts. We expect our Executive Chef to run the back of the house efficiently and effectively to include hiring, training, menu development, production of quality food, and working closely with restaurant managers in the overall food and beverage operations of the restaurant.

Responsibilities

  • Manage finances for kitchen operations
  • Produce quality food
  • Oversee menu creation
  • Train junior personnel

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Culinary Arts
  • 3+ years of kitchen experience
  • Experience in leading and supervising junior chefs
  • Experience working within budget constraints
