Job description

The Executive Chef will lead culinary operations with a focus on promoting guest well-being through health-conscious, high-quality cuisine. This role balances exceptional culinary execution, nutritional alignment, and efficient kitchen management to deliver delicious, specialized menus and educational experiences.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Create innovative, health-conscious menus and recipes that strictly align with established dietary and nutritional guidelines.
  • Oversee the sourcing, testing, and purchasing of high-quality ingredients while ensuring rigorous food safety, storage, and sanitation standards.
  • Conduct cooking demonstrations and educational lectures
  • Assist guests with tailored food choices to support wellness goals and specific medical/dietary stipulations.
  • Maintain tight operational controls over food, labor, and beverage costs.
  • Oversee daily meal preparation and presentation, ensuring meticulous attention to dietary restrictions and guest preferences.
  • Manage kitchen and dining room staff, handling scheduling, training, performance management, and conflict resolution.
  • Run regular training sessions to keep the culinary team updated on modern health-conscious cooking techniques and industry trends.
  • Establish and enforce food and beverage policies that align with company guidelines.
  • Manage administrative tasks, including responding to guest feedback, digital forum comments, and coordinating with suppliers.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Culinary Arts, Food Service Management, Nutrition, or a closely related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as an Executive Chef, ideally within a health resort, wellness center, or health-focused luxury hospitality environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of nutrition-focused culinary arts, menu engineering, and yield testing.
  • Strong background in financial cost controls (food & labor).
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal communication, and basic computer proficiency.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, reach, and lift/move up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment with a moderate noise level.
