If you enjoy fast-paced engineering work, detailed mechanical design, and seeing your work become reality, we want to hear from you.What You'll DoCollaborate with engineers and cross-functional product development teams on new technology and product initiativesDesign and revise detailed 3D CAD models, including complex parts and assemblies for prototype and production systemsCreate and maintain technical drawings for machined components, sheet metal parts, tubing, plastics/composites, and electromechanical assembliesSupport product development through engineering change orders (ECOs), revisions, and configuration managementDevelop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), product specification sheets, and technical documentationPrepare and update quality assurance and manufacturing support documentationMaintain organized CAD libraries and engineering documentation using Autodesk Inventor and VaultHelp establish and improve company-wide modeling and drafting standardsWork closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to ensure designs are practical, manufacturable, and production-readyWhat We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering disciplineMinimum of a 3.3 GPA for all completed degrees2+ years of experience in mechanical product design and draftingStrong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processesExperience creating detailed technical drawings and applying GD&T standards (ASME Y14.5)Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor 2024 or newerExperience with Autodesk Vault 2024 or newer preferredStrong attention to detail, organization, and documentation practicesAbility to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environmentU.S. Citizenship required due to ITAR restrictionsWhy Mainstream Engineering?At Mainstream Engineering, you won't be siloed into a narrow role.
