Job description

As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will:

  • Work with engineers on new product development teams
  • Develop and revise 3D CAD models (including parts and complex assemblies) for prototype and production applications
  • Prepare and revise technical drawings for all different types of components (machined, sheet metal, plastic / composite, tubing) and assemblies
  • Create, perform, and review engineering change orders (ECOs)
  • Prepare and update BOMs
  • Prepare product specification sheets
  • Prepare quality assurance documents
  • Create and maintain drawing and model library in Autodesk Inventor and Vault
  • Create and maintain Mainstream Engineering modeling and drawing standards

Position Requirements

  • BS in an engineering discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in product related mechanical design and drafting
  • United States citizen required due to ITAR restrictions
  • Understanding of Engineering/Mechanical principles
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) (ASME Y14.5-2009)
  • Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor 2024 or newer
  • Proficiency with Autodesk Vault 2024 or newer (preferred)
