Position Summary:

Responsible for packing beef, pork, lamb, veal, and seafood products accurately and tastefully while also meeting customer specifications.

Essential Functions:

  • Packs products in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Follows company standardized pack specifications along with any customer specified deviations as communicated through special instructions via work orders/cut tickets.

  • Accurately reads and comprehends all customer specific special instructions.

  • Performs Quality Control checks and communicates with supervisors and managers any defects.

  • Inspects meat products for defects, bruises, or blemishes.

  • Obtains and distributes products to appropriate pack lines.

  • Weighs meats and tags containers with weight and contents.

  • Effectively completes tasks to reduce processing costs.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

  • Must have ability to read, write and communicate in English.

  • Must be able to work independently or within a team environment.

  • Solves routine problems of limited scope and complexity following established policies and procedures.

  • Must have working knowledge of production equipment.

  • Must be able to understand and follow all Food Safety Guidelines and Occupational Safety Guidelines.

  • You are required to provide your most recent employment experience for your application to be considered complete.

Employees in all warehouse positions must be able to immediately perceiveauditory warningsignals such as bells, alarms, and horns that are used to warn employees of the start-up, movement, or approach of equipment (including forklifts, turrets, overhead cranes, conveyors, trucks, and other equipment operated inside or outside the warehouse), mechanical abnormalities, and similar risk situations during warehouse operations.
