Job Summary
We are seeking a Meat Wrapper to join the team at our successful store. As a Meat Wrapper, you will be responsible for assisting the meat department to the high standards set forth by the company. You will wrap, package and prepare standard cuts of meat as specified in-store guidelines and follow the stores meat merchandising plan. The Meat Wrapper's goal is to drive sales within the meat department and maximize profitability.
Responsibilities
  • Wrap & package cut meat
  • Assist in learning to cut and trim meat using knives and power equipment
  • Package and display meat in an attractive manner
  • Order inventory and maintain appropriate levels of stock
  • Receive and inspect meat as it arrives to the store
  • Ensure the cold chain is unbroken and meat remains high quality
  • Follow high standards of sanitation and quality control
Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Experience using meat cutting equipment, power equipment, and hand tools
  • Ability to stand for long periods and regularly lift 30lbs
