'What you'll be responsible for each day:'

The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing production teams, overseeing manufacturing processes, and ensuring the smooth execution of operations, from the receipt of raw materials to the distribution of finished products.


Reporting to the Production Manager, the supervisor plays a key role in achieving production targets in terms of quality, volume, cost, and delivery timelines, while fostering a strong culture of health and safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.


As a change agent, the Production Supervisor contributes to the transformation of operations by promoting efficiency, accountability, and employee engagement.

  • Lead end-to-end production operations, from raw material reception through to shipment, ensuring timelines and customer requirements are met
  • Deliver the production plan by achieving volume, quality, and cost targets
  • Plan and optimize resource utilization, including labor, raw materials, and production inputs
  • Supervise, engage, and develop teams, including hiring, training, performance management, discipline, and employee development
  • Maintain effective and positive labor relations, in compliance with collective agreements and company policies
  • Ensure the highest standards in health & safety, quality, and food safety, including oversight of sanitation activities
  • Monitor operational performance (KPIs) and lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and reduce losses
  • Actively contribute to organizational objectives, by applying policies, participating in committees, and supporting strategic initiatives

'The individual who will own this role'

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in the food or dairy industry, an asset
  • Experience in a unionized environment, an asset
  • College diploma or bachelor's degree in operations management, engineering, food processing, or a related field required
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered
