Job Summary
Direct and coordinate the activities of the Management staff in Safety, Production, Maintenance, CI, Administration (Finance and HR) and to obtain optimum efficiency for the facility. The position provides leadership to the facility, manufacturing operation and continuous improvement efforts. Ensures that employees have a safe, efficient, and positive environment to work.
Essential Functions
  • Maximize the output of the facility in a safe and cost-effective manner.
  • Maximize operating efficiency and evaluate for inefficiency in cost, waste, production planning, preventive maintenance, etc. Use data to make improvements and monitor results.
  • Provide technical and administrative expertise to the facility.
  • Provide direct oversight management of capital projects in the facility.
  • Provide support, guidance and leadership to the Management and Hourly Employees.
  • Direct and facilitate activities of the staff and actively participate to focus on optimizing plant operations, resolve employee issues and other problem resolution.
  • Actively communicate with supply chain groups as required to service customer needs.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications
Required
  • Experience in the use of statistical tools/methodologies, computers, quality methods and basic financial principles.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to focus on understanding and exceeding expectations of the customers.
  • Computer Literate: MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
  • Self-Starter, resourceful, organized and ability to manage change.
  • 8 to 10 years manufacturing experience and 5 to 7 years in a leadership position.

Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Management, or equivalent.

Environment
Office work area is a climate-controlled environment. Requires time in the manufacturing area (<40% of time) where it is a hot/cold, dusty, and noisy environment. While in the manufacturing area, required PPE must be worn. Audiovisual capabilities of speech, vision and hearing required, including peripheral vision and color discrimination capabilities. Lift light weight material with physical effort equivalent to lifting/moving materials up to 25 pounds. Sitting, standing and/or walking up to 8 hours per day. Work schedule is standard for this type of role. This position will require some travel.
