Job description

Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center (MWCHC) has an exciting opportunity available for a skilled, resourceful, and motivated individual who would like to make a difference in the lives of others by helping a non-for-profit organization fulfill its mission to provide quality health care. Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, the Licensed Behavioral Health Manager, will primarily be responsible for coordinating all psychosocial community services at our Nashville and Clarksville TN clinical sites. Additional, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Manage behavioral health providers and programs for all clinic locations

Responsible for the assessment, planning, arranging, and implementation of psychosocial programs.

Responsible for the content of education and counseling programs for both individual patients or groups of patients and serves as liaison to community, individuals and groups as appropriate.

Responsible for focusing on the treatment, prevention and awareness of opioid abuse and their integration into primary care.

Counsel patients and interpret to professional and lay groups the special psychosocial needs of patients by identifying psychosocial disorders.

Conduct surveys and studies relating to psychosocial status and patterns of population groups as directed.

Perform short term counseling and crisis intervention as necessary.

Review and evaluate recent psychosocial health research and interpret it to professionals and patients.

Manage the implementation of community and social programs as a professional counselor in accordance with MWCHC grants, contracts with federal, state, local agencies and ensures compliance with those grants/contracts and maintains behavioral health accreditation requirements with HRSA and Joint Commission

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor of Science or Arts in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or an acceptable related field, MS in field of Counseling or Social Work, required. Current licensure for a Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker, MHSP (Mental Health Service Provider) in the State of Tennessee. PhD or PsyD in clinical psychology. Experience in an ambulatory health center preferred. Familiarity with multicultural groups, previous work experience in a multicultural setting and willingness to enroll in language and multicultural coursework to supplement training if necessary.
