POSITION SUMMARY:
Manages all aspects related to training within the organization to ensure compliance with industry standards, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements. Responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive training programs for employees, focusing on enhancing skills and knowledge to support operational efficiency and safety.
SUPERVISORY / MANAGERIAL DUTIES:
Manages the development of Procedural Training Instructors (PTIs). Manages the overall quality of training materials and instruction provided by PTIs while being temporarily assigned to perform collateral duty training assignments.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in training of Airframe and /or Powerplant related training on one of the following product lines:
GE, CF6, CF34, GE90
CFMI -3, -5 and -7
PW 2000, 4000
RR RB 211, Trent. Leap
CORE COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Computer Skills - Able to use MS Outlook (Email), Word, Excel on an intermediate skill level
  • Familiar with 14 CFR Part 145 Repair Station Regulations
  • Ability to navigate turbine engine manufacturers OEM manuals, read and understand technical data
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have received training and possess experience in formal and On-The-Job Training instruction and facilitation
  • Must have experience in Instructional Systems Design
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREA:
  • Administer and manage all aspects of compliance and technical training as per the Pem-Air FAA approved training program, including maintaining the Pem-Air Training Manual, personnel mandatory training database, and employee training records
  • Provide support, data analysis, and information services to management regarding regulatory agency mandated and company required training
  • Coordinate and / or provide compliance related, technical, and soft-skills related training for all Repair Station employees, as applicable
  • Perform scheduled training audits and reviews as per the Pem-Air Repair Station FAA approved Training Program
  • Conduct orientation training for newly hired team members
  • Meet periodically with management to assess and periodically review training needs for the Repair Station
  • Monitor and evaluate training program effectiveness and report on them
  • Ensure that training milestones and goals are met
  • Troubleshoot and tailor training programs as necessary to meet the requirements of the Repair Station
  • Maintain and monitor the Pem-Air Web-Based Training (WBT) program
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to safely lift up to a maximum of fifty pounds
  • Must not present a risk of injury to self or others while engaged in assigned Repair Station related duties
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • A four-year degree in education or equivalent experience in developing and instructing in the aviation maintenance field
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Must be able to tolerate exposure to dust, fumes, noise, temperature extremes and other elements when in the production shop environment
  • Must be able and willing to work extended hours, if required
  • Must comply with the Repair Stations’ alcohol and drug free policy
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • FAA Mechanic Certificate with an Airframe and Powerplant rating is preferred but not a must
