Job Summary

The Manager of Training & Development is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving enterprisewide learning and development programs that strengthen leadership capability, employee engagement, compliance, and organizational effectiveness. This role partners closely with HR leadership, operations leaders, clinical leadership, and executives to identify training needs, develop learning solutions, and foster a culture of continuous learning across all Cantex companies.

The Manager of Training & Development leads leadership development programs, new manager onboarding, HR training initiatives, professional development pathways, performance management education, and organizational development efforts that support talent growth and workforce performance.

Qualifications

Required: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in training, organizational development, leadership development, or human resources

• Experience designing and facilitating leadership training programs

• Experience working with learning management systems and adult learning methodologies

Preferred: 

• Healthcare, senior care, postacute care, or multisite organization experience

• Experience supporting large, geographically dispersed workforces

• Experience facilitating executive and managementlevel training programs

Certifications (Preferred): 

• SHRMCP or SHRMSCP

• PHR or SPHR

• Behavioral assessment certifications (Insights, Predictive Index, etc.)

Essential Functions

Leadership Development

• Develop and manage leadership development programs for supervisors, managers, directors, and executives

• Create learning pathways that support internal talent development and succession planning

• Facilitate leadership workshops on communication, performance management, accountability, conflict resolution, coaching, employee engagement, and change management

• Coordinate new leader onboarding and management development programs

Organizational Development

• Partner with HR and operational leaders to identify organizational capability gaps

• Support talent review, succession planning, and workforce development initiatives

• Assist in developing strategies that strengthen employee retention and leadership effectiveness

• Facilitate teambuilding and organizational effectiveness programs

Learning & Development

• Design and deliver training programs through instructorled, virtual, and selfpaced learning formats

• Develop enterprise training curriculum for corporate and fieldbased employees

• Evaluate training effectiveness using feedback, performance metrics, and operational outcomes

• Maintain training materials, facilitator guides, job aids, and learning resources

HR & Compliance Training

• Partner with HR to develop training related to performance management, employee relations, harassment prevention, workplace investigations, compliance, ethics, and policy implementation

• Ensure training programs align with regulatory requirements and company policies

Learning Management System (LMS) Administration

• Oversee learning management systems and training technologies

• Maintain training records, assignments, completion reporting, and compliance tracking

• Generate executive reporting on participation, completion, and training outcomes

Strategic Partnership

• Collaborate with leaders across Skilled Nursing, Home Health, Hospice, Pharmacy, Therapy Services, and Corporate Functions

• Conduct needs assessments and recommend training solutions that support business goals

• Support organizational change initiatives through communication and training plans

Program Measurement

• Establish and track key performance indicators for learning and development initiatives

• Measure program effectiveness through retention, engagement, promotion rates, leadership readiness, and operational outcomes

• Present training effectiveness reports to HR and executive leadership
