Job description

Position: Talent Development Specialist

Location: St. Johns, MI


AgroLiquid is looking for a motivated and people-focused Talent Development Specialist to help strengthen our employee experience through meaningful development, career pathing, training, and succession planning. This role is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building programs, partnering with leaders, and helping employees grow in ways that support both individual success and company growth. As part of our HR team, you will play a key role in creating development opportunities that engage employees, build strong teams, and support the continued success of AgroLiquid.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and Coordinate organizational development programs. {1}Implement competency-based management strategies and processes that measure outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and align teams to organizational goals.
  • Conduct skill assessment activities to evaluate and identify current and emerging skills, competencies, and behaviors required for current and future talent needs.
  • Work with managers to identify and coordinate training and development needed to achieve workforce performance enhancements and improvements.
  • Career Development & Succession Planning {2}
  • Leverage managements strategies and processes to measure competencies, identify areas for improvement, and align teams to organizational goals.
  • Work with managers/directors to identify and create employee career pathing plans.
  • Create employee training and development plans needed to achieve performance and growth for success.
  • Assist managers with monitoring employee career path plan execution.
  • Create, implement & maintain proactive processes for continuity strategy.
  • Create timeline planning for succession /successor opportunities.
  • Application and tracking of all Learning & Development: {3}Coordinate applications for Tuition program, and ensure tracking use, reimbursements & completions.
  • Coordinate all aspects of Specialty Focus program, process and use
  • Coordinate enrollment and follow up for employee general training needs.
  • Plan, organize, coordinate end compliance of legally required training company-wide.
  • Conduct follow up to ensure value driven training processes and use.
  • Training and Development Resources {4}Manage and maintain use of LMS platform, build content, and learning paths.
  • Research, identify and regularly evaluate training resources for best effectivity and value.
  • Work with managers from all teams on training topics, plans, needs and collaborative use.
  • Effective management and use of budget {5}Research, locate, apply for & manage training grant opportunities.
  • Assist with HR annual budget tracking for Development activities.
  • Provide recordkeeping, tracking, reporting for training records.
  • Champion, communicate and drive development, program information, processes and training.
  • Create continuous awareness around programs and opportunities
  • Develop and maintain active engagement and use in progresses and programs.
  • Actively and purposefully elevate opportunities as a part of the employee experience.
  • Regularly evaluate use and measure performance of growth to gauge success and ensure we are providing highest value training options and gaining employee growth opportunities.
  • Locate and maintain training sources, resources and internal platforms to incorporate a variety of the training methodologies, techniques, concepts, learning tools, and practices to ensure maximum effectiveness.
  • Manage and coordinate internal & external trainers and vendors.
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures and protocols at all times.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment for self and employees.
  • Other duties as deemed necessary by management.
