We are hiring an experienced Python Developer to join our offshore AI / hyper-automation team supporting a top-tier global pharmaceutical client. This team builds and operates agentic AI solutions, automation pipelines, and analytics products that streamline regulatory authoring, SOP management, compliance workflows, and drug data aggregation. The ideal candidate is a strong engineer who can write clean, production-grade Python, build meaningful visualizations in Power BI, and collaborate closely with business analysts and platform specialists to turn business problems into shippable automation.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain Python-based automation and AI/agent solutions in support of regulatory, compliance, and operational business processes.
  • Build data pipelines and integrations that connect enterprise systems (AWS services, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Veeva, and internal data sources).
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to business stakeholders and leadership.
  • Partner with business analysts to translate use cases into technical designs, and with platform specialists to deploy solutions into AWS.
  • Implement robust error handling, logging, and monitoring across automation workflows to ensure reliability and auditability in a regulated environment.
  • Write unit, integration, and regression tests to maintain high code quality and support ongoing enhancements.
  • Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation, and knowledge-sharing across the team.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives, and communicate progress clearly to onshore leads and client stakeholders.
  • Stay current on emerging AI, agentic, and Python ecosystem practices, and bring forward recommendations to strengthen the team's technical approach.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of hands-on Python development experience, including production-grade code, packaging, testing, and debugging.
  • Demonstrated Power BI experience - building datasets, reports, and dashboards, with comfort in DAX and Power Query.
  • Strong grasp of Python data libraries (pandas, NumPy, requests, SQLAlchemy) and API integration patterns (REST, JSON, OAuth 2.0).
  • Experience working with cloud services, ideally AWS (S3, Lambda, ECS, SageMaker, or similar).
  • Familiarity with AI / LLM concepts and hands-on exposure to building or integrating with agentic AI solutions, Copilot, or GenAI tooling is a strong plus.
  • SQL proficiency and experience working with relational and cloud data stores.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 ecosystem (SharePoint, Teams, Excel) and enterprise document workflows.
  • Comfort working in Agile / Scrum environments with distributed onshore/offshore teams.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Preferred: Prior experience in life sciences, pharma, or regulated industries; exposure to Veeva Vault, regulatory documentation systems, or quality management systems.
