Maintenance Worker - Full time (40 hours per week)- Assisted Living / Nursing Care Facility
Monday - Friday
7:30am-4pm
The Village of St. Edward at Fairlawn is a not-for-profit organization (Nursing Care, Assisted Living, Memory Care and Independent Living building) that supports each person as a valued member of this community. This position is at our beautiful Fairlawn location right across from the Summit Mall!
We are seeking an individual who is Committed, Kind, Knowledgeable and Respectful to assume a Maintenance Worker role and be a part of an excellent, collaborative team!
SUMMARY OF POSITION
In accordance with the mission and values of The Village of St. Edward, the Maintenance Worker is responsible to perform maintenance and other related types of work; demonstrated knowledge of general maintenance repairs, but proficient knowledge in most if not all areas of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and plastering. Able to work independently with little supervision.
Requirements:
  • High school education or equivalent preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge and skill within most if not all areas: Electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and plastering/drywall/mudding.
  • Good standing driving record
  • Valid Ohio Driver's license
  • Understands and demonstrates ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions.
  • Demonstrated skills in building trades such as carpentry, plumbing and electrical.
  • Must be able to lift, push and pull 50 lbs. independently and over 75lbs. with assistance.
  • Possess and demonstrate the necessary dexterity to separate tools, bolts, operate equipment, buttons, levers, etc.
  • Able to work in a confined space.
  • Able to work at heightened levels, ladders, etc.
  • Well-lighted, well-ventilated rooms and grounds.
  • May work in heights and confined areas.
  • Must work with residents, families and public courteously and effectively.
