Job Summary:
The Williamsport Health & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Facilities Maintenance Assistant to join our team! As a critical member of our maintenance staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our rehabilitation center's facilities, equipment, and grounds. If you are passionate about providing exceptional care and maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients and staff, we encourage you to apply for this full-time opportunity.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting, repairing, and replacing fixtures, furniture, and equipment
  • Clean and disinfect facilities, including bathrooms, patient rooms, and common areas
  • Assist with groundskeeping, including lawn care, landscaping, and snow removal as needed
  • Maintain and repair mechanical systems, including plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to identify and prioritize tasks
  • Respond to maintenance requests from healthcare professionals and patients
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor as needed
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
