Chisholm Chisholm & Kilpatrick (CCK) is a private, public-interest law firm with a nationwide practice focused on representing disabled military veterans and their families, managing bequests for nonprofit organizations, and representing individuals who have been denied life, health, and disability benefits. We pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence and ethical practice. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our team in our Providence, RI headquarters.
Administrative Assistants at CCK are responsible for supporting the entire firm by handling all general correspondence and administrative duties, including, but not limited to:
  • Screening and processing physical and electronic inbound mail, along with ensuring the correspondence is efficiently and accurately associated with the correct client files.
  • Supporting the firm's paperless initiative.
  • Accurately process outgoing electronic correspondence and physical mail, to include performing quality control procedures ensuring correct enclosures and recipients.
  • Opening and maintaining case files.
  • Electronically submitting legal procedural documents;
  • Learning and working in the firm's various systems, databases, and applications.
  • Ability to work both independently and closely with team members.

Requirements
  • High school diploma required or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge with Pitney Bowes Postage Meters, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook, preferred; and,
  • Administrative or clerical experience a plus.
  • Ability to successfully obtain and maintain a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) card and required VA network access, which includes a government background check, is required for this position.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • The starting salary for this position is $20.00 per hour or $41,600 per year.
