Job Description:

WilsonartinTemple, Texashas an opening for a Collator Operator

The Temple Corestock department currently has an opening for a Collator Operator. The Collator Operator will obtain raw material to be collated at specified lengths as determined by the Product Quality department. Make sure machine is running properly at all times. This position is for the night shift 5pm - 5am.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Obtain daily inventory needs from Phenolic Checker or Team Lead
  • Visually inspect rolls for damage, discard any damaged paper in the appropriate waste can
  • Continually monitor raw materials for visual quality and line-up, make any necessary adjustments
  • Thread machine up; make splices and re-thread machine as needed
  • Change out pallets and make sure corresponding tags are placed in each completed pallet
  • Make sure all computer work and paperwork is completed
  • Set up rolls for oncoming crew
  • Regular Attendance Required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Operation of equipment and machinery in a safe manner.
  • Knowledge of the safety standards applicable to the Production areas and other pertinent rules / regulations governing work standards.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE Have at least 6 months' Contech experience. If no applicants possess, the company will accept one (1) years' experience in Phenolic/Core area.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking/pushing/climbing and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight 50 to100 lbs.

ENVIRONMENT:Located in an indoor area with frequent exposure to mild physical discomfort from dust, fumes, temperature extremes, loud noises and bright lights. Examples: mail clerks, material handlers and food service workers.
