Quad is seeking an HP Indigo Digital Press Operator for our Westampton, New Jersey, plant location.  In this position, the candidate hired will be responsible for demonstrating the ability to operate all digital presses, variable print devices, and static printing.  

This is a night shift position: 

7 pm - 7 am 12-hour shifts (3 days first week, 4 days the second week) First weekend off Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Second week, working Monday, Tuesday, - Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Able to set up impositions, view color-critical content and make necessary adjustments, troubleshoot technical problems, work with and troubleshoot variable files, work with equipment representatives, work with sales and customer service, interact with internal and external technicians, and process required paperwork for data collection.
  • Provide printing services by operating HP Indigo 12,000 color digital press.Perform daily/weekly/monthly maintenance on equipment as required.
  • Meets the production and quality standards for the press room. achieves savable color from make-ready, and achieves quality color approvals promptly while maintaining color throughout the run, accurately monitoring press counts and destinations.
  • Performs appropriate maintenance to machines and keeps machines in proper calibration for optimum performance, including Preventative Maintenance. 
  • Willing and able to work overtime during peak production periods.
  • Effectively communicating with other departments as well as communicating with the supervisor on job or deadline issues and any other pertinent information.
  • Provides critical information in a timely fashion to address issues or concerns.
  • Able to match the product to the sample from the customer if applicable.
  • Must have good hand/eye coordination while making adjustments and operating machines.
  • Ability to utilize the computer to ensure the quality of the product. 
  • Able to lift 35 pounds when needed to load paper into press. 
  • Keep the work area clean.

  • Previous Indigo Digital experience preferred, but will train the right candidate. 
  • A drive for results; counted on to succeed goals successfully, is constantly and consistently one of the top performers; very bottom line orientated; steadfastly pushes self and others for results.
  • Effectively communicates with shift supervisors and other departments.  Provides critical information in a timely fashion to address issues or concerns.
  •  Committed to quality for internal and external customers. 
  • Understands and appropriately utilizes all equipment, SOPs, and SmartTools necessary for the position.
  • Ability to use a hand truck.
  • Willingness to work with online technical support when troubleshooting mechanical problems with the press.

Employees can be expected to be paid an hourly range of $22.00-$28.00, based on 
variations in knowledge, skills, experience and market conditions.
