Job description

The Machine Operator II will tend to automatic and semi-automatic machines. The Machine Operator II will follow production and process specifications. The Machine Operator II will monitor meters, gauges, and controls to ensure products are being produced to quality and production standards.
Machine Operator II Responsibilities:

  • Operate production machinery according to established specifications to maximize efficiency, quality, and production output while minimizing downtime
  • Set up, operate, adjust, and perform changeovers on assembly and filling equipment
  • Safely start, stop, and monitor equipment while following all emergency stop and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
  • Maintain Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) certification and ensure all safety procedures are followed in accordance with company standards
  • Monitor machine performance using control panels, touchscreens, and digital operating systems
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment faults, making minor repairs and adjustments as needed within established work instructions
  • Report equipment malfunctions, production issues, and abnormalities to the Production Leader or Supervisor
  • Maintain accurate production documentation, machine logs, and operating records in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs)
  • Verify materials and components before production, reporting discrepancies and assisting with inventory control in component staging areas
  • Perform Cleaning and Sanitization (CNS) activities and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while adhering to cGMP and company safety standards
  • Operate, set up, and run Drum-Tote Filling equipment while ensuring product quality and production requirements are met
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and assist with training team members when needed
  • Perform additional production and operational duties as assigned by leadership
