Machine Operator

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safetyfocused Machine Operator Plastics Compounding & Recycling to support daily operations in our plastics compounding and recycling facility. The Machine Operator will be responsible for running production equipment, monitoring material flow, ensuring product quality, and maintaining a clean and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Operation & Production

  • Operate, set up, and monitor blending, extrusion, grinding, pulverizing, or molding equipment used in plastics compounding and recycling.
  • Load raw plastic materials, additives, colorants, and recycled feedstock into machines per production specifications.
  • Ensure consistent material flow and troubleshoot interruptions or equipment issues.
  • Perform routine adjustments to maintain quality and throughput.

Quality Control

  • Conduct visual inspections of materials and finished products for consistency, contamination, and uniformity.
  • Collect samples and perform basic quality tests (e.g., sieve analysis, melt flow, color checks) as required.
  • Document production data, test results, defects, and machine readings clearly and accurately.

Safety & Maintenance

  • Follow all plant safety procedures including lockout/tagout and PPE compliance.
