Job description

Job Title: Machine Operator

Pay: $18.50/hour
Schedule: 12-hour Day or Night Shifts
Employment Type: 90-Day Contract-to-Hire
Overtime: Available

We are looking for dependable, hardworking individuals to join our team as a Machine Operator. In this role, you will operate specialized equipment at a customer facility. No prior manufacturing or machine operating experience is required—we're looking for candidates with a strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate specialized equipment safely and efficiently
  • Monitor equipment during operation and ensure production runs smoothly
  • Perform very basic maintenance as needed
  • Work independently while maintaining a positive relationship with the customer's team
  • Stay engaged during periods of downtime and respond quickly when work is needed
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Qualifications:

  • No previous manufacturing or machine operating experience required
  • Ability to stand for extended periods throughout a 12-hour shift
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment
  • Reliable transportation and excellent attendance
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
  • Willingness to work either day or night shifts
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a steel mill or industrial environment is a plus, but not required.

This is a great opportunity to start a career in manufacturing with on-the-job training and the opportunity to be hired on permanently after 90 days.
