Job description

Located in Harrison, OH
Salary: $28-$30/hr
Asphalt Milling Machine Operator
Location: Harrison, OH (Onsite/ travel)
Pay: $25-$30/hr
Responsibilities:
  • Operate asphalt milling machines to remove pavement to specified depth, grade, and project requirements.
  • Perform daily equipment inspections, routine maintenance, and complete equipment logs to ensure safe operation.
  • Coordinate with the foreman and ground crew to maintain efficient milling operations and material removal.
  • Monitor milling performance, grade controls, and machine settings while maintaining awareness of surrounding personnel, traffic, and utilities.
  • Follow all safety policies, wear required PPE, assist with minor equipment repairs, and support other job site activities as needed.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating milling machines or other heavy construction equipment.
  • Familiarity with grade control systems, machine adjustments, and the ability to read grade stakes, plans, and work orders.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
  • Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred.
