Job description

Job Responsibilities and Requirements

In addition to supervisory and coaching duties for the LOA Systems team, this position is responsible for project planning and prioritization of projects. The role is responsible for the data integrity, accurate and efficient operation, and functions of the Matrix Leave System(s), while adhering to Matrix Best Practices. In-depth knowledge of FMLA laws and regulations as well as state leave laws.

  • Project plan and staff for new client implementations and ongoing client leave maintenance.

  • Assist in communicating issues/escalations to Account Managers and/or Implementation Managers and work towards resolution with them.

  • Create new client profiles, configuring policies, loading logos, and correspondence for new clients as well as existing clients adding new policies.

  • Troubleshoot issues reported via work orders.

  • Work as a liaison with Sedgwick for issues as they arise.

  • Test system enhancements prior to roll out, communicating enhancement roll outs, develop and provide training materials to the training department to support new functionality and processes.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Related Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience required.

  • At least 5 years' experience as a LOA Systems Specialist.

  • PHR designation preferred.

  • Experience in Superuser functions.

  • Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, plus math skills required.

  • Ability to gather, analyze and organize data to make educated decisions.

  • Ability to identify critical issues and exercise independent judgment.

  • Ability to think in an analytical manner for troubleshooting and program design.

  • Must have an aptitude for logic and systems programming.

Ability to Travel: Up to 10%


The expected hiring range for this position is $80,640.00 - $107,660.00 annually for work performed in the primary location (Philadelphia, PA). This expected hiring range covers only base pay and excludes any other compensation components such as commissions or incentive awards. The successful candidate's starting base pay will be based on several factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.


Work location may be flexible if approved by the Company.
