Under the direct supervision of the Manager, Leave of Absence, the Benefits Analyst will be responsible for the administration of all leaves of absence (U.S. & International), the worker's compensation program and assisting the team with the administration of the U.S. benefit plans (including health and wellness, life and disability and multiple voluntary programs) as needed.Job Description

In this capacity, the Benefits Analyst will:

Provide subject-matter expertise related to leave of absence (U.S. & International);
Based on metrics and analysis, make recommendations for policy and process improvements;
Regularly collaborate with the brokers/carriers responsible for the leave administration, worker's compensation and ergonomics program;
Report and reconcile payroll and benefit premiums for individuals on leave;
Track all budget relief (if applicable) for timekeepers on leave;
Coordinate with all employees returning from leave and engage in the interactive process when necessary;
Review and provide recommendations for all ADA accommodations;
Accurately maintain all records related to leave of absence, worker's comp, ergonomics and accommodations;
Schedule ergonomic assessments and provide recommendations;
Identify and recommend improvements to current processes to ensure that overall performance is aligned with business objectives;
Assist with the execution of system changes (e.g., testing updates, new configurations), identify reoccurring issues and partner with colleagues to affect solutions;
Assist with benefit administration and respond to general inquiries as needed; and
Perform other duties as assigned.

Proficiencies:

Fundamental knowledge of benefit programs;
Fundamental knowledge of general payroll concepts;
Fundamental proficiency in Workday (preferred) or other human resource management systems;
Fundamental proficiency in payroll systems (e.g.: ADP Vantage); and
Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications is required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (preferred);
At least 3 years of experience in leave of absence administration (required);
Client/customer-service experience (required);
Advanced knowledge of customer-service principles;
Advanced knowledge of employment/leave of absence/ADA accommodation-related laws and practices;
Advanced knowledge of leaves of absence administration; and
Advanced knowledge of related regulations (i.e., COBRA, HIPAA-HITECH, Section 125, qualifying family events, PPACA, ERISA, 401(k), 415).

The salary wage range for Orange County that we expect to pay for this position is a minimum of $74,700 and a maximum of $95,300 annually. The actual pay wage may vary based on experience or other relevant factors.
