Rosenfeld Stein Batta, P.A. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our team. This role focuses primarily on commercial collections and civil litigation, while offering unique exposure to corporate and real estate transactions. The ideal candidate is a proactive advocate ready to manage cases from inception through resolution, working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Litigation Management: Manage a diverse caseload of commercial claims and litigation files from inception through trial and the appellate process.
  • Drafting & Pleadings: Prepare, review, and file high-quality pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and comprehensive settlement agreements.
  • Courtroom Advocacy: Represent clients confidently in court appearances, evidentiary hearings, mediations, and depositions.
  • Research & Strategy: Conduct thorough legal research and analysis using Westlaw to develop and support strong case strategies.
  • Client Advisory: Communicate effectively with clients to provide strategic counsel on risk management, asset recovery, and litigation outcomes.
  • Transactional Support: Assist with corporate and real estate transactional matters, including the drafting and review of business Buy-Sell agreements.
  • Professional Communication: Maintain clear, professional, and persuasive communication with clients, opposing counsel, and judicial staff.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • License: Active member in good standing with The Florida Bar (Required).
  • Experience: 0 to 2 years of experience in civil litigation. Direct experience or a strong interest in commercial collections and creditors' rights is highly preferred.
