Job description

Job Description Our client, a sophisticated New York litigation boutique, is seeking an Entry-Level Litigation Paralegal to join its team. This opportunity is particularly well suited for a recent college graduate or early-career professional considering law school who wants substantive, hands-on exposure to complex litigation. The paralegal will work closely with attorneys and support matters throughout the full litigation lifecycle, from case opening and discovery through motion practice, depositions, trial, and appeal.

Key Responsibilities Maintain electronic case files, matter workspaces, case chronologies, witness files, and key document indices. Support document collection, review, production, privilege logs, and other aspects of discovery. Assist with state and federal court filings, including NYSCEF and CM/ECF.

Proofread, cite-check, and format briefs, affidavits, exhibits, tables of contents, and tables of authorities. Prepare deposition, hearing, and trial exhibits and coordinate scheduling, transcripts, and related logistics. Support trial and appellate preparation, including exhibit lists, demonstratives, records on appeal, filings, and oral argument materials.

Coordinate with court reporters, eDiscovery vendors, process servers, printers, and other outside providers. Proactively track assignments, deadlines, and competing priorities and communicate regularly with the legal team. Qualifications Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record.

Demonstrated interest in litigation, the legal profession, and/or attending law school. Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and work effectively under deadlines. Professional, proactive, collaborative, and receptive to feedback. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.

Willingness to learn eDiscovery, document management, and other litigation-support platforms. Availability for additional hours when required for filings, hearings, depositions, or trials. Prior legal experience is helpful but not required.

Compensation & Schedule This is a full-time, non-exempt position based in New York, NY, with a salary range of $75,000-$95,000, plus overtime, discretionary bonus, and benefits. Schedule and start date details will be confirmed.
