Job Description:
The Product Line Manager/Sr Product Line Manager is responsible for the strategy, development, and lifecycle management of key product categories within the AIS portfolio. This role ensures AIS delivers competitive, profitable products that meet the needs of dealers, designers, and end users across the commercial furniture market.
Working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, sales, and marketing, the Product Manager translates market insight into product strategy and leads the development and launch of new products and enhancements. This role plays a critical part in strengthening AIS' market position through differentiated products, speed to market, and strong commercial performance.
Responsibilities and Results:
  • Define and execute product strategy for assigned categories aligned with AIS business objectives.
  • Manage the full product lifecycle from concept through launch, growth, and sunset.
  • Identify market opportunities through competitive analysis, dealer feedback, and customer insights.
  • Develop product roadmaps that strengthen AIS' position in targeted market segments.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through the product development process.
  • Define product requirements including features, cost/price targets, and positioning.
  • Provide support to sales, customer service, and dealers on focused product line(s) including answering product questions, competitive insight and positioning
  • Develop and deliver product training for internal sales teams and dealer partners, including new product launches and portfolio updates.
  • Partner with Marketing to create clear product messaging, selling tools, and competitive comparisons.
  • Participate in key customer or dealer meetings to support product presentations, solution development, and success strategies.
  • Lead the tracking and analysis of business case assumptions and concept testing for new and existing products.
  • Reviews and supports sales sample requests for projects and facilitates product planning.
  • Works to solve issues and problems and is proactive in looking for places to make improvements and processes.
  • Spend some time on production floor, especially during new product launches and new material launches.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of product management, category management, or product line management experience.
  • Experience in commercial office furniture is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and bring products to market.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
