Position summary:

The Project Manager is an advanced-level team member responsible for creating accurate timelines using Monday.com to ensure project completion efficient management of project operations. The Project Manager will work with other team members to ensure tasks are completed within specifications. They will also be responsible for tracking and communicating cross departmentally and to management ensuring that all stakeholders are aware of how the project is progressing from pre-construction to project completion.

The Project Manager is a people manager and will help develop staff whenever possible.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Fully own project operations for landscape construction projects, always achieving the goal of completing a project on time or early, and under budget.
  • Fully own project updates, daily activity logs and any other relevant project information via Monday.com project management system.
  • Track job costing daily via LMN job costing platform while always keeping costs low and spending wisely.
  • Fully own quality control along with designer and sales estimator, maintaining Maas Verde standards on all projects. If the Project Manager doesn’t have the information that they need to maintain quality control, it is their responsibility to ask.
  • Participate in Sales to Operations handoff meeting before project commencement.
  • Fully own communicating all information to project crew utilizing Monday.com project resources as the basis for communication prior to project commencement and throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in scheduling of projects on LMN calendar.
  • Be available for job site visits with designer, sales and all relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure all necessary materials are available before starting new jobs.
  • Ensure all equipment and tools are operational and available on-site before starting new jobs, coordinate ahead of time if something needs to be repaired or placed onto the truck prior to leaving for the job site.
  • Visit current jobs daily.
  • Visit finished jobs as needed.
  • Ensure that irrigation or other functional install pieces are set and operational before leaving the job site.
  • Inspect properties prior to scheduled start date to properly prepare specific action plan for service. Advise if adjustments to the schedule need to be made.
  • Keep an updated inventory of all materials and equipment.
  • Interact with the clients of on-going projects.
  • Coordinate sub-contractors as needed for projects.
  • Value your own personal and professional development.
  • Network and promote Maas Verde in the industry.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years working as a project manager in the construction or landscape construction field. Preferable for this experience to be in a management or supervisory position overseeing construction or landscape-construction installation crews, including planting, hardscapes and irrigation.
  • Minimum of 5 years working in the landscape, construction, or related industries.
  • Knowledge in installation of hardscape and landscape projects and related trades.
  • Associate degree (preferably in construction management or Green Industry)
  • Experience with Monday.com preferred
  • Experience with LMN preferred
  • Ability to use computer programs, handheld devices, and process paperwork.
  • Ability to read landscape plans, shoot grades, and operate equipment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bilingual in Spanish a major plus!
  • Valid driver’s license- clean driving and criminal record insurable on company plan.

Work Environment:

Outdoor work environment while performing the duties of this job, the Project Manager is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The Project Manager is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The Project Manager is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

This job is expected to handle daily administrative tasks, whether in the field, at home or in the office. We strive to have our Project Managers on-site, but also insist that administrative tasks are prioritized to optimize communication throughout the project.
