Job Summary:

The Assistant Project Manager I provides administrative and project coordination support to Project Managers and project teams. This role is focused on learning project management processes, developing technical and commercial knowledge, and assisting with the successful execution of projects through documentation, coordination, project controls support, and reporting activities. The APM I works under close supervision and follows established processes and procedures.

Primary Job Function:

  • Maintain project documentation, records, and filing systems.
  •  Coordinate meetings, agendas, action items, and project communications.
  • Track procurement status, material deliveries, and supporting documentation to provide project visibility and support project execution.
  • Assist with project reporting and data collection.
  • Support project controls activities including tracking logs and records and project performance data.
  •  Collect and organize change management documentation.
  • Escalate project issues identified by project team members.
  • Learn project forecasting, cost controls, scheduling, and commercial processes.
  • Support Project Managers with assigned project tasks and administrative functions and project coordination activities.

Experience:

  • 0–2 years of project coordination, construction, operations, project administration, or related experience.

Education/Training:

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to learn project management processes and systems.

Competencies:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Other Criteria:

  • Complies with Strike’s policies and procedures.
  • Complies with Strike’s Drug & Alcohol Policy maintaining favorable drug testing results throughout employment.
  • Performs job safely with respect to others, property and individual safety.
