Job description

Title: Associate Project Scheduler
Duration: 12 month contract with potential to extend or convert
Pay: $30-$37/hr w/ benefits
Location: Columbus, OH - onsite
Job Summary
The Associate Project Scheduler supports Energy Transmission projects by assisting with scope coordination and providing scheduling support to Project Managers and senior scheduling staff. This entrylevel role is designed for individuals early in their career who are looking to build foundational experience in project scheduling, planning, and coordination as a pathway toward future project management opportunities.
With guidance and mentorship, the Associate Project Scheduler will help develop and maintain project schedules, track progress, and support reporting activities. This role plays an important part in ensuring accurate schedule information, clear communication, and effective collaboration across project teams while gaining handson experience with industry tools, systems, and best practices.
DaytoDay Responsibilities
Scope & Schedule Support
  • Assist in defining project activities, durations, and work sequences to support accurate scopeofwork schedules.
  • Help identify and track key project milestones tied to major deliverables and decision points.
  • Support ensuring project scope elements are properly documented, sequenced, and updated in project schedules.
Schedule Maintenance & Learning
  • Assist with developing, maintaining, and updating project schedules using Primavera P6 and other assigned scheduling tools.
  • Participate in schedule review meetings with Project Managers and stakeholders; document notes, updates, and action items.
  • Collect progress updates from project teams and help incorporate changes under supervision.
  • Support preparation of basic schedule reports, status updates, and summaries.
  • Learn to identify scheduling risks, potential impacts, and critical activities with guidance from senior team members.
Standards, Governance & Professional Development
  • Follow established project management standards and governance guidelines.
  • Learn and apply scheduling best practices such as progress updating, baselining, and basic performance tracking.
  • Actively participate in training, mentoring, and onthejob learning opportunities to build scheduling and project management skills.
Systems & Administrative Support
  • Assist with system access requests, documentation, and data organization related to scheduling tools.
  • Help maintain accurate and current schedule data by communicating regularly with project team members.
  • Support general scheduling and administrative tasks as needed to aid project execution.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or recent graduation from an accredited institution in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, Technology, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Internship, coursework, or academic project experience related to project scheduling, planning, construction, utilities, or project coordination is a plus.
  • Familiarity with or interest in learning project scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational and timemanagement skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively under guidance while meeting deadlines and learning new responsibilities.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with a willingness to ask questions and collaborate.
  • Teamoriented mindset and ability to work with crossfunctional groups.
  • Motivated, dependable, and eager to grow a longterm career in project scheduling and project management.
