Job description

Job Summary (Project Manager – IT & Software Development)
- Lead and manage technical software development projects through the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Oversee cross-functional teams including software developers, cloud engineers, architects, QA/test engineers, and business analysts, preferably in a matrixed organization.
- Manage projects from inception to successful post-implementation, including cloud migration and application modernization initiatives.
- Apply technical knowledge of cloud infrastructure, DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and API integrations.
- Utilize and coach teams on AI tools and AI-assisted workflows; experience with AI/machine learning project delivery is a strong differentiator.
- Handle project risks, dependencies, and issues proactively and systematically.
- Demonstrate strong analytical, communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Use Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and Excel for project tracking, documentation, reporting, and resource management.
- Develop effective technical solutions and adapt to ambiguity in emerging technology, especially in AI and cloud.
- Ensure proficiency with modern development practices and enterprise architecture.
- Must be able to obtain security clearance and work onsite in Colorado (Aurora, Centennial, Denver, or Highlands Ranch) on a hybrid basis.
- 8+ years of IT project management experience required, with a strong background in software development and technology.
- Experience in financial services and/or education services industries preferred.
