About the Role

We're looking for a collaborative and detail-oriented professional to join our team in a 12 month Fixed Term role as a Learning Specialist. In this role, you will design, develop, and deliver high-quality learning solutions that enhance employee capability and support business transformation initiatives. This role ensures that learning programs, content, and tools drive measurable performance outcomes, improve adoption of new processes and systems, and enable a consistent and effective learner experience.

What You'll Do

  • Design and develop engaging, high-quality learning solutions using adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Create a range of materials including eLearning modules, facilitator guides, job aids, process documentation, and digital resources to support knowledge transfer and performance improvement.
  • Partner with business leaders, HR, and subject matter experts to assess learning needs and identify capability gaps.
  • Develop and maintain structured content repositories, ensuring learning materials are accurate, accessible, and aligned with governance standards.
  • Plan, execute, and manage learning initiatives, including timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication.
  • Manage and maintain learning content within LMS and digital platforms, ensuring functionality, accessibility, and optimal learner experience.
  • Develop and analyze assessments, feedback mechanisms, and performance metrics to evaluate learning effectiveness.
  • Support or deliver virtual and in-person training sessions, workshops, or webinars as needed to reinforce learning.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Human Resources, Communications, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience accepted.
  • 5+ years of experience in instructional design, learning content development, and learning project management.
  • Demonstrated experience applying adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).
  • Experience developing eLearning and multimedia content using authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Captivate) and managing content within Learning Management Systems.
  • Strong experience translating complex information into clear, user-friendly learning materials.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in cross-functional, fast-paced environments
  • Certification in instructional design, project management, or learning technologies preferred.
  • Demonstrates adaptability, curiosity, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Current Location: Mississauga. Our Mississauga office will move to 1 Adelaide in Toronto in September 2026

The hiring base salary range for this position is $76,300 - $104,900 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual's knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
