Job Title: Business Development Coordinator

Overview
Accurant International is seeking a Business Development Coordinator to support the preparation of high-quality proposals, contracts, customer documentation, and other sales materials for utilities and other critical infrastructure organizations. This role works closely with Solutions Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and other business development units to coordinate proposal development, maintain proposal/contract templates, and assist with commercial aspects of proposals/contracts. The position is ideal for an early-career professional with strong organizational and writing skills who is interested in working in a technical industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the development and submission of proposals and RFP responses, including organizing inputs from technical, commercial, and management teams.
  • Track proposal deadlines, action items, and deliverables to ensure timely submissions.
  • Assist with drafting proposal narratives, executive summaries, and customer-facing documentation.
  • Support communications and coordination activities with utility customers during proposal, RFP, and contract processes.
  • Format and copyedit proposal documents to ensure consistency, accuracy, and professional presentation.
  • Work with internal legal/financial staff to complete commercial components of proposals/contracts.
  • Maintain proposal templates, past proposal archives, and reusable content libraries.
  • Assist with organizing and tracking contracts, statements of work, and other commercial development efforts.
  • Leverage AI and proposal automation tools to streamline proposal and contract development processes.
  • Help maintain internal records related to proposals, contracts, and project documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Technical Management, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience (can include internships) in business development, technical support, or similar roles.
  • Strong written communication and editing skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills including document and process management and tracking inputs from multiple team members.
  • Strong attention to detail and proofreading/quality control skills, with the ability to identify and resolve inconsistencies, formatting issues, and content errors before final submission.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and coordinate across teams.
  • Self-starter with strong follow-through and willingness to learn technical subject matter.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with utilities, engineering teams, executives, and external partners.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with multiple concurrent priorities.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), with the ability to format and finalize polished, client-ready documents and presentations.
  • Comfortable working with technical subject matter and collaborating with engineering teams.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting RFP processes, proposal/contract development, and statements of work.
  • Familiarity with document management or collaboration platforms.
  • Experience leveraging Teams and SharePoint for document management and team collaboration.
  • Experience maintaining templates, reusable content, and version-controlled documents to support efficient, consistent proposal development.
  • Experience working in B2B or technical industries.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar platforms preferred.
  • Experience using AI tools and proposal automation processes.
