Position Title: Business Intelligence, Reporting & Application Development Intern
Department: Information Systems
Reports To: Information Systems Manager


Position Summary

The Business Intelligence, Reporting & Application Development Intern will support the Information Systems team by assisting with report development, dashboard creation, data analysis, and process improvement initiatives. This role provides hands-on experience with Power BI, Infor Birst, Infor CSI (CloudSuite Industrial), while being exposed to Mongoose to help transform business data into meaningful insights and develop solutions that improve operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, technically curious, and interested in data analytics, business intelligence, ERP systems, and application development.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting & Analytics

  • Assist in developing, testing, and maintaining reports within Power BI, Infor Birst, and Infor CSI.
  • Create, modify, and enhance dashboards and KPI visualizations.
  • Analyze business data to identify trends, opportunities, and exceptions.
  • Support ad- hoc reporting requests from management and operational teams.
  • Assist in validating and reconciling data to ensure reporting accuracy.

Dashboard & Information Hub Development

  • Assist in the design and development of Power BI dashboards and analytics solutions.
  • Support the creation of centralized information hubs and dashboards within Birst and/or CSI.
  • Improve dashboard usability through enhanced layouts, navigation, and data visualization techniques.
  • Collaborate with end users to gather requirements and develop reporting solutions that meet business needs.
  • Support executive and operational reporting initiatives.

Data Management & Process Improvement

  • Analyze and organize data from ERP and business systems.
  • Help identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve workflows.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis and reporting.
  • Assist with process documentation and standardization efforts.

Documentation & Training Support

  • Create user guides, process documentation, and training materials.
  • Provide support during software implementations, upgrades, and improvement projects.
  • Assist end users with reporting and dashboard-related questions.

Qualifications
