Job description

Vertical Alliance Group is the parent company of Infiniti Fleet Safety Training—online training tools, including a learning management system (software application that helps create, manage, and track learning materials) for industries like transportation, distribution, and warehousing.

We are seeking a responsible, motivated, and growth-oriented professional to join our team as a Business Development Associate. This unique hybrid role combines customer service, account management, and sales development to prepare high-performing individuals for a transition into a full Account Executive position after successful completion of the program.

During the first 6 months, the Business Development Associate will work closely with our Client Success team to develop a strong understanding of client relationships, customer needs, operational processes, and our solutions. After the initial onboarding and training period, the employee will begin managing a small book of prospects and developing new business opportunities while continuing to support customer success initiatives.

This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping customers, solving problems, building relationships, and developing a long-term career in sales and account management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding customer service while serving as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, support, and issue resolution
  • Manage client accounts with professionalism and accuracy while building strong relationships with customers and key decision-makers
  • Understand client business needs and recommend effective solutions that support client satisfaction, retention, and account growth
  • Maintain accurate CRM records of client interactions, activities, opportunities, and transactions
  • Collaborate with client success, operations, and product development teams to ensure exceptional client experience
  • Participate in ongoing sales, account management, and professional development training
  • By 90 days, begin developing and managing a small book of prospects and sales opportunities
  • Assist with pipeline development, prospect engagement, renewals, and relationship-building activities
  • Learn and successfully apply phone sales, virtual communication, negotiation, and full-cycle sales skills from prospecting through closing
