About the Role

We're looking for a Technical Recruiter to help build our growing FAIRI (FieldAI Research Institute) team in Boston. This role goes beyond traditional full-cycle recruiting. You'll partner closely with engineering and research leaders to understand long-term hiring priorities, develop proactive talent strategies, and identify exceptional technical talent before they enter the market.

You'll recruit for some of our most impactful technical roles while serving as a key contributor to talent strategy, market insights, candidate assessment, and hiring decisions. If you enjoy building relationships with world-class researchers and engineers, navigating complex searches, and solving difficult hiring challenges, we'd love to meet you.

Approximately 10-15% of your time will support People Operations through onboarding, recruiting operations, process improvements, and initiatives that create an exceptional employee experience.

This is a fixed-term position with an immediate business need. We are looking for someone who can start immediately. This role may evolve into a full-time role in the future depending on business need.

What You'll Do Technical Recruiting
  • Own full-cycle recruiting from kickoff through offer acceptance.
  • Partner with engineering and research leaders to define hiring strategies, candidate profiles, and interview plans.
  • Recruit for specialized technical roles, including: Research Scientists, Research Engineers, Software Engineers, Engineering Managers, Simulation Engineers, Hardware Engineers, and Internship Programs
  • Build long-term pipelines of exceptional talent through sourcing, networking, technical communities, research publications, conferences, GitHub, and LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Develop relationships with passive candidates and engage top talent long before they're actively looking.
  • Guide candidates through the interview process while delivering an exceptional candidate experience.
  • Lead offer negotiations and help close highly competitive technical talent.
Strategic Talent Partnership
  • Serve as a trusted recruiting partner to engineering and research leadership.
  • Provide market insights on talent trends, compensation, competitor hiring, and candidate availability.
  • Help hiring teams make informed decisions through talent mapping, market intelligence, and thoughtful candidate assessment.
  • Continuously improve recruiting processes while maintaining a high hiring bar and an efficient hiring experience.
  • Maintain accurate ATS data, recruiting metrics, and hiring reports.
People Operations Support (10-15%)
  • Coordinate onboarding and ensure a seamless new hire experience.
  • Partner with People Operations on recruiting operations, onboarding logistics, documentation, and process improvements.
  • Support employer branding, recruiting events, university recruiting, employee referrals, and additional HR initiatives.
What You Have
  • 4-7 years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience.
  • Experience hiring highly technical AI/ML researchers, research engineers, software engineers, robotics engineers, hardware engineers, and similarly specialized technical talent.
  • Experience hiring PhD-level researchers, Research Scientists, or senior technical leadership.
  • Experience recruiting within startups, high-growth technology companies, technical recruiting agencies, executive search firms, or a combination of these environments.
  • Strong sourcing skills using LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, Boolean Search, Google X-Ray, research publications, conference attendee lists, and other technical sourcing tools.
  • Demonstrated success engaging passive candidates and building relationships with highly specialized technical talent.
  • Experience partnering closely with senior technical leaders and managing multiple high-priority searches simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Experience using ATS platforms such as Lever, Greenhouse, Ashby, or Workday.
  • Comfort working independently in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment.

Our annual salary range is $115K- $130K and we consider each individual's background and experience when determining final compensation. Base pay may vary based on role scope, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and the local market.
