We are seeking a highly motivated Payroll Clerk to join our team at our main office in Castle Rock, CO.

The Payroll Clerk works under the supervision of the Human Resources Manager. The Payroll Clerk must be proficient and knowledgeable in all areas of payroll. They must maintain accuracy, be organized, have problem-solving skills, be professional, and work well with fellow employees of all levels. They must also be able to work independently and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing & Administration

    • Assist with processing the full weekly payroll cycle

    • Prepare manual checks and direct deposits, including time-sensitive payroll adjustments for employee separations

    • Serve as backup support for payroll and certified payroll processing

    • Track, verify, and process:

      • Missing hours

      • PTO and sick time

      • Referral bonuses

      • Per diem payments

      • Other specialty compensation

  • Reporting & Compliance

    • Process and properly code hours for certified payroll on customer platforms

    • Assist with weekly payroll tax payments and 401(k) contributions

    • Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly payroll reports

    • Maintain confidentiality and compliance with payroll policies and regulations

  • Employee Support

    • Respond to payroll-related questions and requests while maintaining confidentiality

    • Provide exceptional customer service to employees regarding payroll matters

    • Assist with onboarding and payroll-related documentation

    • Support document uploads and record maintenance in Spectrum

    • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience with Spectrum system from Viewpoint is highly preferred

  • Experience processing certified payroll with LCPtracker and Elation preferred

  • Working knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance practices

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively

  • Strong problem-solving skills and initiative

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish highly desired

Education and Experience:

  • Education: Minimum High School Diploma or GED

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of payroll experience
