Compensation: $19.00–$20.00 per hour

Position Summary

CSG is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and team oriented Kitchen Steward to join the CSG team in the most prestigious boutique hotel in Napa Valley. Behind every exceptional dining experience is a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen, and our Kitchen Stewards play a vital role in making that happen.

As a Kitchen Steward, you will help maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, food preparation areas, equipment, and dishware while supporting the culinary team in delivering outstanding guest experiences. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all kitchen, dishwashing, and food preparation areas.
  • Operate commercial dishwashing and pot-washing equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
  • Ensure kitchen floors, drains, walls, shelving, workstations, walk-in coolers, and storage areas remain clean and sanitary throughout each shift.
  • Remove trash and recycling regularly while maintaining clean waste disposal areas.
  • Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing deliveries following proper food safety and storage procedures.
  • Maintain adequate supplies of clean dishes, cookware, and utensils for the culinary team.
  • Support cooks and kitchen staff with general cleaning and operational needs during service.
  • Follow all local health department regulations, food safety standards, and hotel sanitation procedures.
  • Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or supply shortages to management promptly.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the Food & Beverage and Culinary teams.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Kitchen Steward, Dishwasher, or in a commercial kitchen is preferred but not required; we are willing to train motivated candidates.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the culinary team.
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation practices, and safe handling of cleaning chemicals is preferred.
  • Must follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Ability to use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Professional appearance and commitment to excellent hospitality standards.
