Job description

Software Test Engineer

Pay Range: $47hr - $51hr

The Software Test Engineer is responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining software test plans, scenarios, scripts, and programs to ensure software products meet quality standards. This role includes identifying software problems and root causes, testing system modifications, documenting defects, mentoring junior staff, and collaborating with software engineers and product owners to maintain overall software quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, modify, and execute test plans, scenarios, and scripts for software and applications.
  • Document software defects using bug tracking systems and report issues to engineers and product owners.
  • Review software design and support overall quality assurance efforts.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior testing staff and project teams.
  • Ensure accurate and thorough test execution and reporting within specified schedules.
  • Collaborate with development teams to debug and modify software based on test results.

Skills:
