Job Title: Technical Writer/ Graphic Artist Junior Job Category: Engineering and Technical Support Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Local * * * The Opportunity: Serves as the tech writer in support of the CETs Division and subordinate branches. Individual will be working on a government site at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD with the customer and associated contractors as part of the REM and RADE branches. The individual will support CETS Division in the review, creation, and editing of technical documents, white papers, and templates. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent written communications skills, and proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools. Responsibilities: * Review and edit technical documents, white papers, reports, and other deliverables for clarity, accuracy, and consistency. * Create, update, and maintain document templates using Microsoft 365 applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.). * Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure technical content is clear, concise, and meets organizational standards. * Ensure all documentation adheres to CETS Division formatting and style guidelines. * Track document revisions and maintain version control. * Assist with the organization and management of document repositories. * Maintains document version control, configuration management discipline, and compliance with program documentation standards and Army/DoD writing guidelines. * Collaborates with subject matter experts (SMEs), engineers, and government personnel to develop technical documents, briefings, and white papers, ensuring that format and content are tailored to the intended audience. * Develops, revises, and maintains clear, concise, and regulatory- compliant policies, memorandums, standard operating procedures, and official Army correspondence. * Serves as content manager for assigned branches, ensuring proper document routing, version control, and accessibility in accordance with CETS and Branch document review and approval procedures. * Utilizes in-depth knowledge of Army requirements for formatting and producing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Memorandums for Record (MFRs), and other official documentation to ensure professional, accurate, and mission-aligned written products. * Ensures all written products meet quality standards for clarity, consistency, grammar, and technical accuracy while adhering to classification, OPSEC, and information-handling requirement. Applicants selected for further consideration will be required to provide a writing sample demonstrating their ability to produce clear, concise, and technically accurate documentation. The sample should reflect the applicant's ability to translate complex information into well-organized written products such as policies, procedures, technical summaries, analytical reports, or instructional materials. Writing samples may be drawn from previous professional work, academic assignments, or self-authored documents relevant to technical writing, open-source analysis, or mission-focused research. Qualifications: Required: * TS/SCI clearance must be obtainable * Minimum 3 years' experience and/or AS/AA or 2yr Tech School; or HS/GED w/ 10 years or military experience E4 and up - What You Can Expect: A culture of integrity. Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
