Job Title: Junior Operations Manager

About the Role
Hamtramck Recycling is seeking a motivated and dependable Junior Operations Manager to train directly under our Senior Operations Manager and grow into a leadership role overseeing operations at our second warehouse facility.
This position is ideal for someone who wants to build a long-term career in operations leadership within a fast-paced recycling environment. The role is hands-on and focused on learning the daily workflow of baling operations, warehouse coordination, employee supervision, and yard organization.
You will play an active role in keeping material moving efficiently while helping maintain structure, safety, and accountability across the operation.
Primary Responsibilities
Support daily baler operations
Assist with employee supervision and coordination
Help manage warehouse operations and material movement
Monitor and support inventory organization and control

  • Maintain organization of both indoor warehouse space and outdoor yard areas
  • Communicate equipment needs with maintenance and leadership
  • Help coordinate workflow between departments
  • Assist with improving operational efficiency and structure
  • Train alongside the Senior Operations Manager to prepare for future leadership oversight of our second warehouse
