Job description

Junior Key Account Manager - Walmart, Ninja

This is a commercial role at the center of SharkNinja's largest retail partnership. Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Junior Key Account Manager supports the analytical and customer needs of the entire Walmart Ninja business while owning a buying desk relationship in total. The role is focused on driving profitable growth of Ninja's 1P item portfolio, partnering closely with the Walmart merchant team and with cross-functional teams (marketing, supply chain, category management, and finance) to win at the shelf - in store and online.

Duties and Responsibilities

Desk Ownership

  • Own at least one key Walmart buying desk relationship in total: the joint business plan, line reviews, item setup and maintenance, pricing actions, promotional planning, and day-to-day merchant communication
  • Grow revenue and profit of the 1P Ninja items on your desk in line with company strategy, identifying whitespace, share opportunities, and new item placements
  • Lead promotional and modular/line review submissions with internal and external stakeholders, tied to growth targets
  • Drive tentpole events and promotional moments on your desk that generate outsized, profitable growth

Analytical and Customer Support (Total Business)

  • Serve as an analytical engine for the full Walmart Ninja business: build business reviews, data visualizations, and reports that translate POS, inventory, and share data into decisions
  • Report weekly on POS and key business KPIs (sales vs. plan/LY, market share, in-stocks, fill rates), trends, and factors impacting the business
  • Monitor stock levels and support replenishment health, partnering with supply chain to hit fill rate and in-stock targets; jointly produce forecasts with monthly reporting and tracking
  • Respond to customer requests quickly and accurately - data pulls, item information, samples, meeting prep, and follow-ups - so the merchant team sees SharkNinja as its easiest supplier to work with
  • Gather and communicate competitive factors impacting the business, including new competitive items, pricing, and promotions
  • Establish and run a weekly operating cadence to manage multiple concurrent workstreams cohesively
  • Support the broader account team on omni-channel initiatives, including item content and digital shelf hygiene where needed
Attributes and Skills

Analytical and commercial depth (required)

  • Strong analytical skills paired with the ability to build compelling data visualizations and business reviews that drive commercial action - a data-to-decisions orientation
  • Fluency in retail math (POS, margin, forecast attainment, in-stock/fill rate metrics); experience with retailer data platforms (e.g., Walmart Scintilla/Luminate, Retail Link) strongly preferred
  • Track record supporting or owning a buying relationship, brand-side or retailer-side
  • Explorer mindset: drives urgency and accountability, and influences cross-functional teams to secure the resources needed to win
  • Strong project management, comfortable juggling many concurrent workstreams and running a weekly operating model to keep them cohesive
  • Vocal operator who shares results and challenges openly and clearly asks for what the business needs, not a heads-down individual contributor
  • Recent, regular use of AI tools embedded in daily workflow, not just passing familiarity
Education and Experience
  • University degree
  • Prior sales, sales support, or analytics experience with consumer products or consumer durables required
  • 1-3 years of account management or sales analytics experience preferred; mass retail or Walmart experience a plus
  • Demonstrated career trajectory and ambition, with the runway to grow into a Key Account Manager role
