Position Summary

The Junior Key Account Manager supports the commercial management of assigned key accounts to drive profitability, sales growth, and market share expansion within the territory. This role is responsible for maintaining customer relationships, executing sales and merchandising strategies, monitoring point-of-sale performance, and supporting excellence in retail execution. Working collaboratively with internal teams and customers, the position contributes to achieving volume objectives and supporting the overall success of strategic accounts.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the management and development of relationships with key customer accounts.
  • Assist in the execution of commercial strategies and customer initiatives aligned with company objectives.
  • Help ensure compliance with pricing, merchandising, display, and visibility standards at retail locations.
  • Coordinate with Sales Representatives and Merchandisers to support execution excellence in the field.
  • Monitor sell-out performance, inventory levels, and promotional activities to support product turnover and account growth.
  • Conduct regular retail visits to evaluate execution quality, identify opportunities, and monitor competitor activity.
  • Track and analyze KPIs including sales performance, market share, facings, and inventory metrics.
  • Assist with trade spend tracking and promotional performance analysis.
  • Identify potential business opportunities and support territory growth initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Logistics and internal teams to help ensure strong customer service and operational efficiency.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned consistent with the nature of the role.


Qualifications

  • 24 years of experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), retail sales, account management, or related commercial roles.
  • Previous experience supporting retail accounts or field sales activities preferred.
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field preferred.


Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of retail merchandising and sales execution principles.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales and performance data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
  • Experience using CRM systems or sales tracking tools is a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% as required.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Valid drivers license and ability to travel to retail locations.
