Job description

The Business Analyst will work as part of the Java Development team and be the primary interface with the customers for new business requests and enhancements. The person will also lead the effort to prioritize user requests, manage customer expectations and coordinate completion of work to meet the needs of the deliverable. The individual will also interface with other IT and Technology stakeholders to understand and document the requirements from a system interaction perspective.
Responsibilities
Analyze business and user needs, translate them into proper system requirement specifications, determine the deliverables and help estimate the effort required

Communicate and explain the requirements to the technical staff and document requirements as needed.
Develop requirements (use-cases, screen mock-ups, user-stories) and act as a liaison between the business and the IT team.
Help prioritize user-stories and requirements with the business, and manage expectations of delivery dates with business and IT stakeholders.
Act as subject-matter-expert for the application.
Document business rules.
Understand business processes and identify areas of business process improvement.
Collaborate with team members and other project teams to understand and manage project dependencies.
